I have read Plastic Angel, passed it on to Bernie, who in turn has passed it on to Miriam. I'm finally posting about it now.

I liked it. It was cute, a little cheesy. It definitely felt like something Nerissa Nields would write. So much about hippie towns and Bob Dylan and guitar playing and books. I have a hunch that Rhodie Beckett is supposed to be based on her. In her self-proclaimed "tough days."
I was disappointed that the CD only had two songs on it. I have the full length album which has every song that the girls or The Big Idea play in the book. If anybody wants to hear that, let me know. :)

I would love to hear it. I think more than two songs on the CD probably would have made the disc too expensive for Scholastic to just give away.

If you want to read another book about an incredibly hippie town pick up Boy Meets Boy by David Levithan. It's kind of like a young-adult, gay, utopian relationship book. If sending around books works out well, I might send it after I finish my YA lit class in May.

Anyone else interested in starting a book around?
